I wish that I was ice cream
Scooped into a cone
Or sitting on a grocery shelf
Looking for a home
Something to be sought after
On a warm summer night
Of course, I would be “Cool”
In each and every bite!
The life of every party
Would be my ultimate goal
See smiles on Children’s faces
As I’m dished out bowl by bowl
I’d be so many different flavors
Appealing to every taste
Not enough of me to go around
There’d never be any waste
Yes, I wish I was ice cream
To finally make the “Grade”
And for that special someone
I’d surely be homemade!
