IT TAKES A MAN

 


It takes a man to be a Christian
To stand up for what you believe
Listen to the Holy Spirit’s guidance
Make sure that He you don’t grieve

It takes a man to be a Christian
To not knuckle under to pressure
To follow the teachings of Jesus
From Him derive all Earthly pleasure

It takes a man to be a Christian
To confidently pray on a bended knee
Not to be ashamed of his calling
His faith let others experience and see

It takes a man to be a Christian
To realize his family he must lead
An intercessor for them is his job
Praying constantly for all their needs

It takes a man to be a Christian
To be able to see another’s pain
To recognize the hurt that others feel
Through him let their healing gain

It takes a man to be a Christian
To realize he can’t do it all alone
He needs to know that he is forgiven
That all of his sins have been atoned

It takes a man to be a Christian
One who’s willing for God takes a stand
To share Jesus with the lost
And promote God’s salvation plan

It takes a man to be a Christian
And I wholeheartedly agree
It’s something I strive for every day
Hoping that people see Jesus in me
