Mondays

 Monday comes just once a week

And that fact makes me glad

Because if it came more than once

I’m sure it would make me sad

It announces the weekend’s over

And its time to go back to work

Since work is a four-letter word

It is something I’d like to shirk

If I must start my work week

Friday is an excellent choice

Then it is time for the weekend

When I can relax and rejoice

Let’s make it a four-hour day

In order to get the work done

Leaving the rest of the day

For having a whole lot of fun

I think we should pass a bill

In order to get it officially done

It is one that I would vote for

I would count it a victory won!
