This wonderful season called fall
for it announces a favorite pastime

Screaming til their heart wants to stall
On bleachers when it’s 10 below

Dreaded shopping with your spouse
On game day at the consumer mall
You silently slip away to watch

Or place a bet on a sure thing
“Please, ref, make the right call”
But one thing you can’t control

But the craziest thing you’ll ever see
Are grown men involved in a brawl
Disputing the undeniably obvious
