If Jesus Came

If Jesus would come back tomorrow
And that golden trumpet blew at dawn
I wonder would we all be amazed
At how many of us are raptured and gone

Would the church doors still be open
Filled with people totally confused
Wondering what they had done wrong
As they searched frantically for clues

It is for His bride He will come
The ones who have allowed Him in
New hearts he has changed, created
The ones that are pure, free from sin

These are the ones who’ll be gone
Leaving the religion-bound ones behind
Allowing doctrines to control them
Instead of trusting a Savior, oh so kind

It’s not too late to make that trip
To answer the trumpet when it blows
Don’t be in the number left behind
And pay the price for the life you chose
